Many retired derby horses call Old Friend’s Farm home. Here, they live out their retirement with luxury, befitting the professional athletes they are.

As part of a photography class, I was challenged to pick a direction and drive for 10 minutes, stop, and take 10 photos no more than 10 feet from my car. I ended up in Roger’s Gap and was fortunate enough to have a train stop right where I parked.

It’s amazing what you can find in your own backyard. There’s something quaint about downtown Georgetown.
